Employee 1994 - 2001 | Owner 2001 to Present
I’m so excited to invite you to a very special celebration at Mansetti’s Shoreview—my 30th anniversary! On December 14th, from 1 PM to 3 PM, I hope you’ll stop by to help me honor three incredible decades of dedication, passion, and community spirit. This celebration means so much to me because it’s not just about the years; it’s about the journey that started in 1994 when I joined the Mansetti’s family as a young, eager 17-year-old.
My story is rooted in this community that I love so much. Back then, I walked from my home to work, learning the ropes of the restaurant business and building connections with coworkers and customers alike. In 2001, at the age of 24, I took a leap of faith and bought Mansetti’s Shoreview. Since then, I’ve worked to make it more than just a restaurant—it’s become a local landmark where families and friends come together to create lasting memories over great food.
Over the years, Mansetti’s has been recognized with awards like Best Pizza, Best Italian Restaurant, Best Pasta, and Best Lasagna. Being featured on Twin Cities Live in 2011 was another highlight in this incredible journey. Through it all, I’ve poured my heart and soul into every part of this restaurant. From making sauces and rolling meatballs to preparing nearly every pizza that leaves our kitchen, I’ve always been hands-on to ensure that every dish reflects the quality and care you expect from us.
But my connection to this community goes far beyond the restaurant walls. As a graduate of Mounds View High School’s Class of 1996, I’ve always felt a deep bond with Shoreview. Supporting school events, participating in fundraisers, and getting to know so many of you by name has been an incredible privilege. Generations of families have come through our doors, and it’s been an honor to be part of your milestones and traditions.
On December 14th, let’s come together to celebrate not just me, but the community we’ve built together. We’ll have cake and plenty of good conversation as we share memories and stories about what makes this place so special. While we won’t be serving menu items during the event, it’s a chance to focus on the connections and moments that have made Mansetti’s a cornerstone of Shoreview.
As I approach my 30th year, I’m reminded every day that great food brings people together, but it’s the people who make it truly special. My quirky sense of humor, hands-on approach, and dedication to quality have shaped this journey, but it’s you who have made it worthwhile.
Mark your calendars, and I can’t wait to see you on December 14th as we celebrate 30 years of memories, milestones, and, of course, "Owner Dave"!
